We are about to begin an exciting new ‘youth club’ for over 55s and are looking for someone who feels they have the skills and ambition to lead this project. Seeing the benefits in our youth groups, we want to offer the same friendship, support and range of activities with older members of our community.
Initial funding is in place for the next two years and aims to address loneliness and isolation while offering friendship, creativity and enjoyment. Following our ‘open door’ philosophy (if the door is open, you are welcome to join us), the person leading the group will initially open the centre for a session each Sunday, collaborating with those who attend to develop a programme of activities based on the interests of the group.
